Lots of talk of appeasement and Neville Chamberlain but I think it’s worse than that.
What we have is the equivalent of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact where Nazi Germany and the USSR became friends and carved up Poland between them.
That came as a shock at the time too.

A good example of the distinction between ideology and personality cult.
Another reminder tonight that MAGA’s ONLY ideology is devotion to Trump. When Trump said let’s extricate America from the rest of the world, focus on home, no more wars, no nation-building, MAGA cheered. But now Trump says let’s take over Greenland, Canada, the Panama Canal, & Gaza. And MAGA cheers.
