My daughter and I visited the house we lived in when she was a baby, and she was shocked a 29-year-old Navy guy could afford a nice house in a safe neighborhood.
That wasn’t crazy in 1996 — but today, a nice house is out of reach for so many young people. That has to change.

Things that make you say hmmm. Unless the flatcars the racks are on are hitting 50 years old (FRA has a 50 year limit for most freight equipment, old ones may be there), looks like it's going to be a tough year for auto sales, if it isn't already.

I guess once this outage dies, they'll move on from cheerleaders to Flight Attendants, where we have to remind them that male flight attendants were common before the 1940s and that what we associate as FAs from the 40s to the 60s was largely marketing to attract business travelers.

There are 3 types of railfans, the typical just sit and BS and have fun chilling on the side of the tracks ones.
The foamers (buncha wierd kids who really wanna work for the road, but do dumb stuff like like tresspass into yards late at night and report crews to their bosses for being cool.) (1)
