I like to refer to this building and its identical twin across the street as Comcast's revenge, as when the sun shines just right towards the later hours it dazzles you I have found.

Things that make you say hmmm. Unless the flatcars the racks are on are hitting 50 years old (FRA has a 50 year limit for most freight equipment, old ones may be there), looks like it's going to be a tough year for auto sales, if it isn't already.

I was looking at Coffee prices, was surprised to see the cheap bricks that one would use in an espresso machine or Moka Pot had gone from being like 5 bucks to almost 10 or even 14 bucks, and for the cheaper spa is brands. When I still regularly used my Moka, I swear I payed that much for Lavazza.

If I may say I'm also disappointed with by the lack of colorful back-lit buttons, bsuch as those seen in the bridge of the Leonov in the 1984 film 2010:The year we make contact.

Yeah as I said, the local place is way better, and I get a choice of meat, and a far less chance of finding hair (this happened at least twice with my local taco bell).

Also Taco Bell doesn't feel like fast food anymore considering slow they are now.

Here is a picture I took from the last visit.

Looks like he took inspiration from the Romanovs and is turning the White House into the Winter Palace.

I don't think anyone explained to him what happened to the Romanovs about 107 years ago or how the family ruled over people which lead to it said event...

Have to say, this is giving me old Polish Movie poster vibes.

I may have bought another Moomins themed 1:400 scale MD-11 from Ebay.

Someday he will have a book published of all his tweets and the cover will look something like this.

I don't usually collect more modern (post Y2K era) airframes. The ones I get are usually from those close to me, but I made an exception here.

Here is an Transaero 747-400. Saw the real one while driving around Melbourne airport awaiting scrapping on 5/16/16 after TSO went bust. Airframe hist (1/2)

I used to drive 2008 Mercury Mariner. Originally had a UAW sticker on the windshield representing the workers at the plant it was built.

That thing was a tank, fairly reliable on just oil/tire changes, and usually went 75k on tires.

Drove it a bit past 157k. Love 1st/2nd gen FoMoCo E-M-Ts. (1)

Had done this fun kit last weekend in the garage. Finally got a USB lead to solder to it to let it get powered up. It was also fun seeing the LEDs light up individually when checking their connectivity with my multimeter.

One of my newer diecasts and a small project I hope to start soon. The unpainted one is an An-2 (sold as a Y-5), I hope to get work done on it soon.

The diecast is of a Canadian Dept of transport Vickers Viscount 700. Delivered in 1955 and retired in 1982.

This doesn't strike me as anything too new to be fair. FedEx was painting the Maple leaf on their Canadian registered 727s back in the 1980s.

Seem to recall other companies doing this as well for a while. McDonalds Canada is another one.

I'm just going to say, once you see the lines of the Sd.Kfz 234 chassis and the Cyber truck being similar, you have issues unseeing it.
March 16, 2025 at 11:27 AM
I'm just going to say, the resemblance isn't too far off from the Sd.Kfz 234, juat without a turret, slammed to the ground and missing two axles.
February 28, 2025 at 4:37 AM
I mean, it's not my fault he didn't take one good look at the car and say to himself "damn, that sorta has the lines of a Sd.Kfz. 234... Or knowing him he likely did and figured no one would notice.

Some fun SWL'ing today while cleaning the garage. Was able to get the reel long wire slinged up to a palm tree. Was able to pick up what I'm sure is KBS out of Korea (though a little weak). Also caught Radio Nacional da Amazonia clearly too. Also CRI out of China, and WRMI (sorta no brainer...)

Doing some spring cleaning in the garage. Gave me a great chance to pull out the long wire antenna and sling it around a tree outside. Picked up radio Slovakia (via WRMI), TRC World, NHK World, and a few others quite clearly.

Excited to have found my multimeter. Lost it a few months back in the garage.
