Not in the US, it was called the Malaise Era for a reason. Most cars made after 1974 had abysmal performance and questionable build quality. There were a lot of comfy land yachts, but that's usually what a lot of them had going for them.

Didn't start to get better till the late 1980s or mid 90s.

That's 3 messages within the span of 20 minutes. Something has to be going on!

Just following in the tradition of his crush and role idols (Putin, Stalin.) Randomly Shooting down airliners is a tradition in the Russian Military going back to the 1930s.

France 24 and the tvn24 are also reasonably good sources too. Maybe the Canadian CBC as well.

I quit reading the BBC News site when they went hard-core pro-Trump and pro Putin (in the war) last year.

The BBC has had a transphobia problem for some time in their reporting.

Then there was making Americans (and just) pay to read.

All reasons is why I jumped to German DW for my daily news.

I've never been in a military command, at least outside my computer in games, but I don't think you're usually supposed announce that stuff ahead of time.

Did he also sell Amazon or Netflix the livestream rights of the footage from the planes too?
November 28, 2025 at 11:52 PM
True, weren't they originally supposed to fall like, in 2015?

This goes up there in things to not hold my breath on, like when the phrase "in two weeks" is uttered.

Closing off the last big gap (for better or worse) in the "Florida Megalopolis" (the stretch of 192 between St Cloud and Melbourne.) Though it would take the Kempfer family and the LDS selling off a lot of land there (and neither seems interested in doing so I hear.) (3/3)

Then there is also the small town mentality, especially outside of Melbourne. Right now the Melbourne area especially feels like Orlando in the early 90s, and by that I mean an especially large population boom. So it may lead to some change soon. Also possibly closing off the last gap in the (2/3)

Well, the Banana River is pretty polluted from fertilizers. Poor Haz-Waste handling causing stuff to get into municipal water supplies before the 1980s also lead to a lot of superfund sites being established up and down the county (especially in Palm Bay, which has 2 quite close to each other.) (1/3
November 28, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Yeah it's quite extra over there.

I mean, we have the obnoxious Dixieboo on Palm Bay's city council, the Melbourne Mayor who wanted to rename a street after Kirk because a business owner in that street said something mean about Kirk, not to mention the other Joe Arpio Lite, Wayne Ivey.

Oh, I am well aware. Their legal systems tend to still have much better record of putting away those found on Putin's bankroll than let's say, the US. Farage and LePen have both been well documented payees of Putin, and Konfederacja, AfD, and Fidesz are basically be foreign brances of United Russia.
November 28, 2025 at 6:18 PM
It's funny you mention him.

So when the Justice Minister Romanowski of Poland was found to be involved some crime and embezzlement, he actually fled to Putinist Hungary who gave him asylum.

Orban is an absolute menace who tties to destabilize the EU on behalf of his payor, Vladamir Putin.

Let them roll around on a dirty wet lab floor that had exposure to both ends of the pH scale and more, while trying to change badly placed pumps hidden deep in a machine for half a day and then make up 3 new tanks of chemistries while trying to avoid overfilling a waste drum. That view will change.
November 27, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Not just the UK, but Poland's Konfederacja too. They were nobodies until last year.

Like PiS[s] they use the blood libel lies against brown people and LGBT kids as ways to scare folks into voting for them. But one supports Putin and the other doesn't. Wanna guess which one?

5G is even worse as the towers don't have very long coverage ranges. Even worse when you have a lot of folks on the same note. Texts and images from coworkers can take hours where I work because you literally have like thousands of folks on the same nodes!

Got rid of the 1TB storage option instead (and SD card access), providers urging us to use the cloud instead (because we can totally trust the corproate to keep our family photos safe and not wipe them by accident or for another reason... /s)

Like why would I downgrade just to get a better camera?
November 27, 2025 at 8:54 PM
I'm sure Boeing and Airbus felt the same about Northwest using 1960s era DC-9s well into being bought out by Delta in 2013. Or Mercedes Benz about W116/123/126 drivers.

I mean, I have no desire for a new phone. They don't offer new things to encourage me, and most manufactures... (1/2)

As said, they have been for years, so it was my way showing a lack of surprise. My wording may have been sloppy. Operating out of embassies goes back decades though, churches a domestic policy brought Itn'l.

They have been influencing and guiding a lot of the far right in the US since the 2000s.
November 27, 2025 at 8:10 PM
People are very much done. You can't see his rabid supporters able to stand by this with a straight face anymore.*

I feeling we may see the "Romania, 1988" ending to this.

*Except in the Jan 6'er capitol of, Brevard County, FL. That place basically worshipped him even after 1/6.
November 27, 2025 at 4:46 PM
My thoughts exactly. A lot places have a $50 dollar limit on what you can accept as a thank you gift. And even then they limit what it can be too! Some even go lower to $25.

In Europe (west of Belarus anyways), this guy would have been in cuffs long ago.

As a Merc fan, it would be nice to see them beef this up on a C class chassis. An electric GLC or C class would be good would be pretty nice.

Would love to see an electric E wagon too, though I'd imagine it would lose that foldable rear seat in the back for the battery.
November 27, 2025 at 12:01 AM
They are? Sounds like they have been since at least 2008 seeing what's been going on in the US.
