Years ago my daughter asked why my wife and I say “blurst” instead of “worst” sometimes, and I had to explain The Simpsons, the infinite monkey theorem, and A Tale of Two Cities to do so. Now she says she assumes any weird linguistic tics are just long-winded Simpsons references.

Years ago my daughter asked why my wife and I say “blurst” instead of “worst” sometimes, and I had to explain The Simpsons, the infinite monkey theorem, and A Tale of Two Cities to do so. Now she says she assumes any weird linguistic tics are just long-winded Simpsons references.
There’s something decidedly unwholesome about someone singing opera outside your house at 10:50 at night. You’d think it might have a classy, urbane feeling but you’d be wrong, believe me.

Now is a good time to share the Chadvent Colander I gave to my brother in law last year. Twenty-four different Chads, each in a separate envelope, hanging from a dollar store colander.
Every Chad was lovingly selected and given a special write-up with facts and pictures.
