it didn't work "first try" because i forgot to flip some directions on some of the cases. but now i have a bounded coordinate which can arbitrarily increment (both forwards and backwards) and always stay in bounds to the grid it's based on

okay now i refactored my day4 impl, broke up the tests, and added helper functions that will help with the reimplementation of diagonal generation, plus tests for rectangle grids specifically
next i think i’m going to go for a “bounded coordinate” type which can be used as part of iterators…
