Just because there is no more violence in Gaza does not mean peace has been accomplished. Peace will only be achieved when all people, not just Israel, feel safe and secure. A Palestinian State alongside Israel with all national rights and privileges is the only solution to lasting peace.

When I was back home I spent an afternoon volunteering at the food bank my mom helps run. It’s in a mid sized Midwestern city. It was pretty eye opening. These are people who are really reliant on the social safety net that the BBB slashed. Here’s a list of observations 1/x

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

It's hard to pick the most disappointing thing about this country over the last decade, but the emergence of open Nazism is high on the list.
