Now that’s what I call Trump Derangement Syndrome
SCOOP — A former staffer for Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), Natalie Green, 26, was charged today for falsely reporting she was attacked by 3 men who wrote "TRUMP WHORE" on her stomach bc of her job. It was staged by her + a friend.

Van Drew isn't named in the complaint but I've confirmed w/ his office.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Imagine being so determined to have the last word you write a jerk’s obituary before you die.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

If all those wealthy New Yorkers who said they’re going to leave could come buy million dollar houses in Santa Fe so we can tax them, that would be fine.

The results of the Albuquerque city election were not quite every race, but yeah, I’m feeling pretty good about that D&D club 😁
Every race. It’s basically been every race.

Governors. Mayors. Long-held GOP dog-catchers. School boards. Water boards. Flipped a dungeon master in a rural Iowa D&D club. State senators. State reps. A janitor in Duluth. State justices. Three GOP Uber drivers.

Just everything.

Gorgeous sight on the way in to work this morning, since I was driving in at sunrise and not an hour before. Since I was driving I didn’t stop to take a photo, but I felt inspired to paint a watercolor when I get home. Did this doodle at my desk so I don’t forget.

Santa Fe, NM recently decided to stop adding fluoride to the water supply. At the time, I pointed out that parents could get kids prescriptions to fluoride tablets until the city comes back to their senses. Now, the FDA is restricting access to fluoride supplements.

I ran #CallOfCthulhu for the first time last night! My experienced players have been through most of the scenarios people usually start with, so I ran Sorrow in Tsavo, by @symphonyhorror.bsky.social and it was a blast.

Santa Fe families: your dentist can prescribe fluoride chewables for your kids. Families using well water hopefully already have these.
The city of Santa Fe will no longer add fluoride to its water supply, something city officials said was due in part to high costs and ongoing research into the health risks and benefits of fluoride. sfnm.co/47mRSRM
Santa Fe no longer putting fluoride into water due to high repair costs, health risk concerns
City officials say fluoridating the water to the lower CDC standards would be challenging and costly — possibly as much as $500,000.

Some dinosaurs had hooves!

"E. annectens preserves the oldest hoof renderings for any tetrapod, the first record of hooves in a reptile, the first instance of a hooved tetrapod capable of bipedal locomotion, and the first hooved tetrapod with disparate fore and hindfoot posture"
Two new Edmontosaurus skeletons with preserved skin just got published by Paul Sereno and collegues. They had a fleshy scaly crest over their back and hoofed feet!

I was lucky enough to see the specimens last summer. The publication is open access:

Petunia Pickle Bottom is the Louis Vuitton of diaper bags, as all my real friends know. We hit the secondhand shops today and there was a PPB green and purple peacock diaper clutch in perfect shape for $25. My youngest is 8yo and I’m still considering going back to buy it.
