Well, today is pretty much my last real day at work. Tomorrow I trek to corporate to turn in all my wfh equipment, and Monday I’ll start my new position.
I’m crushed. I loved my job, my team, and definitely my boss, but I drew the short straw for layoffs, so there’s nothing that can be done.

I’ll try to remember these last 3 years as the most fulfilling years of my life. Getting to apply what I know to the fullest and help people every day was such a privilege. I hope I can return one day :(

They’re banning TikTok not because it harvests data, the same way US social media does, but because they can’t influence it’s algorithm with congressional hearings or government contracts the way they do every other tech giant. That’s it.
