They gathered to light candles and celebrate Hanukkah. They were targeted simply for being Jewish. My heart is shattered. This is antisemitic evil, and those families should be alive today. I am horrified and heartbroken by the terror attack targeting the Jewish community in Australia. Antisemitic hate and violence must be given no refuge in our societies. My thoughts are with the injured and the grieving families. May the memories of those senselessly murdered forever be a blessing.
