The Roberts court better hope that the Executive branch doesn’t morph into something awful.

He will make things up to push a narrative. Those are his words.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

He’s an idiot.
JD Vance: "Science as practiced in its best form is that if you disagree with it, then you ought to criticize it and you ought to argue against it."

Avi Loeb contributed to junk science with his wistful thinking.
Listen, I'm not saying I endorse brutal mockery of Avi Loeb's claims that every interstellar comet we see is an alien spaceship, but I will link to it because the aliens made me in order to sow doubt about their cometships.

Instead of folding like cheap chairs, Democrats should have forced the GOP to end the shutdown by killing the filibuster. Holding onto the archaic, antidemocratic tradition doesn't help them stop fascism, it makes them complicit to it.

Democrats Should Have Let Republicans Kill the Filibuster
Instead of caving on the shutdown, Democrats should have waited for the GOP to cave on Trump’s demand to scotch this antidemocratic tactic.

Who would have thought that our own Supreme Court, namely the Roberts court republicans, were selected to end our democracy.

How can a country thrive when it’s impossible to trust anyone in leadership? We really are at the stage of decline. We can count on the government looking out for about 1,000 very rich people.

The eight democrats caved to save airline industry profits. In return they got a promise for a vote on healthcare. I wish they would just tell the truth and say they experienced severe pressure from airline executives to cave! Because that is the truth.

Kaine is lying! There is no protection for federal workers. The Trump DOJ will challenge the language in the bill and the Roberts court is likely rule that the executive branch has the authority to fire federal employees. Always liked Kaine but now he is a Republican.

My statement on the funding deal to reopen government, protect federal employees, and vote to protect health care:

It will be very hard to trust anything coming out of the mouth of a democrat. They could have ended the shutdown weeks ago with the exact same language in the bill they just voted on.

It has already undone the enthusiasm for me and the five people sitting in the same room. What an utter failure of leadership.

IMO, Senate democrats are thinking that caving to Republicans will be forgotten in short order because Trump creates daily chaos. They believe by November 2026 that people will be so pissed off by Trump’s policies that they will vote in droves to defeat him. They just might be wrong.
November 9, 2025 at 11:09 PM
People don’t vote for democrats to get republican policies! Cave now and 2026 is up for grabs.
