For all the media repeating that ACA COVID subsidies “cost” ~$30B, the U.S. just pledged $20B to Argentina to stabilize an autocrat’s government and protect a GOP megadonor who loaded up on Argentine debt. No one’s blinking at that. Let’s keep things in perspective.
