Looking for my people! #Witchcraft, #book lovers and #animal lovers. It may take me a min to figure out this format.

I can get back into my profile, but nothing else so far. The theatrics of this is so ridiculous. If I get back on, I will never stop fighting against our incoming tyrannical regime! Prepare to be sick of me!

I think that might have been a good move. But people are having fun with Fox News' account. It seems there's not really any opportunity to hide or report comments for any US accounts.

RFK Jr. is here b/c no one held him accountable for Samoa

DC MAGA are here because no one held them accountable for 1/6

SCOTUS is here b/c no one held them accountable for bribery

47 is here b/c no one held him accountable for treason

Democracy is sinking into a sea of criminal privilege
Enough!

TikTok, Lemon 8, and CapCut are all gone.

Not AR-15’s. Not carcinogenic additives. Not Child Corn.

Those apps are “more dangerous” according to the U.S. government.

And they’re right.

They SHOULD be afraid of The People.

The realest art, rawest journalism, and funniest skits ever produced by regular working class Americans of all ages was on a social media platform that our government just banned.

Folks trying to act cool and aloof about the TikTok ban sound genuinely idiotic. If you don’t get why it’s a devastating and dangerous precedent, that says way more about you than the people lamenting its loss. I learned so much on that app. I saw the funniest shit of my life there. Shit sucks.

Don’t let anyone make you feel bad that a source of education, political resistance, and laughter was stripped from you under the guise of protection.

Not to be dramatic about not having tiktok but… this is the kind of quiet that happens in movies before the bad guy executes their big plan.

as a single black woman, I became a homeowner because of tiktok.

it taught me how to navigate unbelievably complex financial, real estate, and mortgage processes.

through TT, I was able to find a mortgage lender who would actually work with me as a freelancer.

that app broke generational curses.

it’s not about the container.

it’s about the connection it can contain.

it’s not about an app.

it’s about a wildly unlikely group of humans that found eachother, supported each other, uplifted each other, and LOVED EACH OTHER.

The comments were some of the best content!
What really guts me is that there was no real way to save all the comments from Tiktok. So much solidarity, encouragement, connection and warmth. Those tiny little letters lifted me up for years. I had many a follower who made no posts and only ever left comments, and I miss them already.

State sponsored media to circulate pro-fascist agenda? First ban it, then save it, then make it a propaganda outlet. No thank you! My neuro-spicy puzzler brain recognizes the danger
And there it is. Scam and grift revealed. Watch who gets rich off this. Interested also to see how legacy media covers this, which has been putrid so far.

I followed a WWII vet who was wise and kind, and I’ve wept this morning thinking about how isolated he must feel waking up this morning.

I followed W. Y. Huang whose voice was so tender that I felt as if the universe was wrapping me in a warm hug. The community found on TT cannot be replicated.

What we just collectively lost with this ban is so devastatingly painful. TT was found family and friends, a community that amplified our voices while also humbling us by allowing us access to the stories, truths, and realities of the most marginalized communities within our society.
