I spent decades believing that voting for the lesser evil was a smart and necessary thing to do. That’s changed very quickly as the Democrats do absolutely nothing to stop Trump’s fascism. What’s the theory for voting at all if the “lesser evil” guys aren’t going to do anything useful to fight back?
As the unofficial Dem strategy explainer on here I can't really tell you why Jeffries had such a wimpy response to the Eric Adams quid pro quo. At some point this just becomes a timid resistance to doing anything.

What really guts me is that there was no real way to save all the comments from Tiktok. So much solidarity, encouragement, connection and warmth. Those tiny little letters lifted me up for years. I had many a follower who made no posts and only ever left comments, and I miss them already.

It’s wild because each app’s user base(s) create a unique organism that you can’t capture in other places. (For better or for worse…) I miss so many things about the communities I’ve built elsewhere that have vanished.
