The Trump administration has been spreading anti-vaccine propaganda for months. Tonight, Trump's physician announced he just received a flu shot and a COVID booster.

Right now, Dems are hiding in their offices, scrolling their phones fearfully, wondering "how are voters going to feel about the National Guard being deployed?"

The right, meanwhile, is vigorously *attempting to shape* how voters feel about it, filling every medium with coordinated propaganda.

There are a lot of uses for machine learning but "LLMs for general use across industries"—which get the bulk of the hype and money—isn't even at the level of a prototype, it's just an expensive toy. Even plausible uses for them are limited by the market being oversaturated with snake oil.
Notable that AI is getting a *lot* less priority from management teams when they talk to investors.

2025 and Democrats still don’t grasp Lesson 1 of “Dont Think of An Elephant.”

NEVER REPEAT FALSE CHARGES
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not a dictator.

He is a champion of democracy, freedom and truth.

One enduring problem with the American electorate is how millions of people convinced themselves the government plays no role in their economic situation except to tax and to hinder them while giving money to undeserving people.
“Many farmers voted for Trump [b/c] he promised less regulation and greater prosperity for America’s farmers. The hard truth … like most of the folks who voted for Trump, farmers failed to do their homework about the reality” of the Trump regime.

What betting on the farm & losing looks like. 😬
With Trump and Musk driving U.S. policy, Kansas farmers have been played for suckers • Kansas Reflector

This comment on r/fednews really stood out to me. Trump and Musk want people to think they're firing do-nothing "bureaucrats," but they're really getting rid of people dedicated to serving this country and keeping it operational. I hope these stories get told.

I'd rather continue to fund the banking police (who have returned billions to consumers) rather than giving everyone a check for $2.15

The problem is not that scientists are not communicating well. It’s that they are under attack by interests who do not care about truth or the messy reality of the scientific enterprise. The truth is complicated and nuanced. The lies are bold and simple. This is not a fair fight.

right wing propagandists (Rufo) hijacked the term "DEI" to conflate civil rights reforms with bloated and hollow corporate inclusivity initiatives. helps sell the lie that removing them isn't about racism, but "efficiency."

I wish journalists would stop playing along with the framing
Once a DEI leader, Google is retreating from diversity initiatives. Here's why.
Google said it was reviewing President Trump’s executive orders aimed at reversing DEI in the federal government and among federal contractors.

Elon Musk’s effort to control the Treasury Department’s payment system is incredibly dangerous. He and Trump could use sensitive info to punish their enemies — or they could break vital infrastructure.

We’ve seen Dems negatively impact rural/white working class voters economically — the income cliff on ACA subsidies, the inflation of 2022 — this is the first time I can recall a Republican President doing it to working/middle-class white voters, so the political fallout could be something new.

Keep your messaging simple:

“Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other.”

That’s it. That’s the messaging. Don’t get bogged down disputing Trump’s false claims. Just blame him, in short and repeatable sentences.

The facts are, the ACA saved millions with pre-existing conditions and set standards for care.

But now, more than a decade later, with what we now know, it’s time to take the insurance companies out of the mix.
The subsidies they get are enormous. We don’t need them as middlemen.
