Meine dispatcher says there's something wrong with deine cable.
At HEB for a 6(!?) hour shift. It says "training", not sure what kind. Maybe cashier but I went to that cashier college 6 hour training over a year ago. They can't expect me to remember that shit a year later after having never used the knowledge.

Kiddo's History teacher just send an email to parents letting us know she's going to be teaching the kids about Austin's redlining past. She says parents can opt out of their kid learning about it. WTF. Fucking Texas, man. Pretty soon they're going to just erase teaching about slavery.

Kiddo wanted to watch FIREFLY for the first time so we've been watching an episode a night. We just finished the last episode on Wednesday. He wants to wait to watch SERENITY until Thanksgiving, and friends, I'm not sure if I'm ready emotionally to go through it again even after all these years.

It's a holiday here for the City but I'm in office today. Catching up on a few tasks while it's super quiet. Have had a couple of calls and emails. Just happy to be getting holiday pay AND 8 hours OT.

I'm about to settle in for 6 hours of COLUMBO on COZI TV. They show it on Saturdays and Sundays both for several hours in morning/afternoon and then again for several hours in the evening.
Saturdays morning/afternoon is generally 70s. Evenings can be a anything from the series.

Enjoying Columbo, an endlessly rewatchable series. Falk's sly timing raises the level of every scene, as in "Blueprint for Murder," where he questions the arrogant architect, drops an incriminating fact, then reaches in his coat pocket and asks, "Ya want half a candy bar?"
