I was to give a talk at a big US Attorney's Office next week abt the complicity of German lawyers in the creation of the Nazi state. Yesterday the Justice Department cancelled it.
Irony is dead.
I've got an op/ed on this I'm looking to place. Help appreciated.

A sad and major loss for developmental psychology. Clancy was one of the kindest and most brilliant scholars. He transformed the field’s understanding of the adaptations children develop in the context of poverty. His profound legacy will undoubtedly live on.
This week the field of developmental psychology lost a giant - Clancy Blair. His work on how families and schools shaped human development will be classic for years to come. He will be sorely missed. Sympathies to his wife Cybele Raver and his extended family.

As he’s practicing, he launches away from the piano, still working on it in his head, then continues playing with insane dexterity. It’s so cool to have this little look into his process.

The singular they.
The first known use of singular “they” is so old that not only does it pre-date singular “you,” it wasn’t even spelled with a “th”

When William and the Werewolf, in 1375 CE, used singular “they,” it was spelled with a Thorn
