Daniel Roderer and his group revealed the first high-res structure of Fap2 from Fusobacterium nucleatum (cryo-EM/ET). Fap2 binds immune cells (TIGIT) and colorectal cancer cells (Gal-GalNAc), showing how Fusobacteria colonize tumors and escape the immune system.

The lab of noalipstein.bsky.social introduced a new mouse line to label presynaptic terminals with chemical dyes, enabling imaging of fixed & live neurons at confocal & super-res. They synthesized & validated a cell-impermeable dye, BG-SiR-d12, improving image quality!
