Not going to rage post on social media about politics.

Gonna leave that to the poasters and pundits.

Just going to share photos of all the beautiful public lands I like to visit and talk about the weather.

Oh. Dammit. This sucks.

Colorado sports standings update:

Denver Nuggets: 83.3% win rate
Denver Broncos: 81.8% win rate
Colorado Avalanche: 66.6% win rate

We're not jealous. Why would we be jealous.
Colorado sports standings update:

Denver Nuggets: 7 - 2
Denver Broncos: 8 - 2
Colorado Avalanche: 11 - 1

This is not important. No reason to mention it. Have a great off-season.

I’ve soured on BlueSky a little, but it’s still the best precisely because of the lack of algorithm unless you specifically select one.

I really appreciate that it doesn’t throttle a post just because someone programmed it to when certain words are used.

I took 86 photos of the aurora last night and they are all worthless because I used the manual focus and failed to get the focus correct.

I knew this might happen so I’m not that sad about it. It’s more funny than anything.

Grateful for all the competent photographers who snapped great images.

Tapping the XKCD sign again to explain that no, I won't be seeing an aurora tonight. Or at least I really hope not. That would be bad. :)

Hello, happy Friday.

Here is an aerial image of the Sangre de Cristo Range snapped a few Novembers ago. Doubtful it has much snow on it currently.

My only opinion about blocklists is that because some rando can put me on an anti waffles list because I said something positive about pancakes, it chills me from engaging in conversations here and there about current events and politics.
Blocking hatemongers is one thing but this trend of using mass block lists to avoid hearing from people who might or might not hold points of view you expect to disagree with is unhealthy imo and hurts the platform.

Bluesky was better off with folks like Margaret Mitchell and Giada Pistilli on it.

Hi!

You don’t hate daylight saving time and the problem isn’t even shifting our clocks by an hour twice a year.

The problem is insisting we work 8-hour days during the cold, dark months of winter, depriving us of the sunlight we need to stay sane.

Science is clear about the benefits of sunlight.

Not spooky but some blacks and vivid orange / red for your Oct. 31 consideration.

It was chilly yesterday so I drove to a trail that gets sun and is usually less windy than my home trails.

Score. My time suffered because I was constantly taking photos of the pretty autumn colors.

Sure, gold aspens blanketing a rugged peak are great. But don’t sleep on autumn in the foothills.

I don’t post much about current events. Partly because we all need a break. But also because when I do I end up on a block list.

Jjust photos now. But it turns out even that makes people angry as I’ve been added to a list and blocked for that.

Love you, BlueSky, but why are you like this? 🤣

I can’t stay up any more.

I like both teams fine, so they can do this into perpetuity as far as I am concerned 🤷🏼‍♂️
