The most obvious problem with digital ID is why do they think it’ll work any better than a national insurance number? Also, only people working for an employer will be required to have it, so not all the eligible UK adult population, unlike NIN? Expensive option for a system that already exists

Is it that the police need training in what counts as terrorism? Or that the government really meant to outlaw support for international law and any criticism of the #genocide Israel is inflicting on Gaza?
Police in Canterbury today informed a protestor that the phrase "Israel is committing genocide in Gaza" could be considered a declaration of support for Palestine Action and therefore a terrorism offence.

Am I hearing this correctly - Israel want to force the remaining Palestinian population into one smaller area - Rafah. They will not be able to leave that area 😟 Sounds like a prison to me?

Dear @teamlabouruk.bsky.social MPs,

We need you to sign the amendment. You cannot, in good conscience, vote for a Green Paper that will affect—quite literally—millions of the most vulnerable people in the country without an Impact Assessment. Work with us. Please sign now.

Thanks,

Everyone

(1/2) With a heavy heart, I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as a whip.

Whilst I will continue to support the government in delivering the change the country so desperately needs, I cannot vote in favour of the proposed reforms to disability benefits.

We shouldn’t live in a society where people have to rely on social security and charity but the way to fix that isn’t just to take the safety net away from people. Remove those barriers first and understand some people will need a safety net

If you are employed and annoyed about the number of disabled people not working, you should be more compassionate with how you treat fellow workers struggling in their role due to health & disability issues

We need facts as never before.

3 years after Putin invaded Ukraine, I spent 24 hours with combat medics on the Ukrainian frontline.

Their courage, compassion, dedication & skill are astounding.

Please read & please never stop standing up for Ukraine. 🇺🇦

While many struggle to make ends meet, the wealth of the super-rich has soared. It doesn’t have to be this way. There’s another way—one that prioritises fairness, sustainability, and equality. It starts with making those at the top pay their fair share.
