Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
Getting off US tech: a guide
I’m in the process of dropping US tech services. Here’s how I did it, and options you should consider.

The people who contribute to Twitt-X like to say they're the last bastion of truth, but they're either making money, getting off to the fighting or unwilling to give up the fake prestige of having a "massive" following. An egotistical thing.
That so many of you carry on posting on X encapsulates the problem with authoritarianism. Many people hate it but aren't prepared to make even the tiniest personal sacrifice to oppose it [like foregoing the fun of shitposting on the authoritarian propaganda website].

The show is so well created, that it makes you forget that it's about a young girl that was the victim of CSAM, then revenge porn of that CSAM, and bullying/slut shaming, then attempted extortion, and finally being murdered by an incel who enjoyed that revenge porn, for rejecting his advances.

The TV show "Adolescence" sucked. It's brilliantly written, flawlessly acted, excellent film making that causes all the viewers that are already too sympathetic to the violent little incels ruining the world, to be even more unnecessarily and unproductively accommodating of their hateful entitlement

Oh my God... it was all ChatGPT.

They didn't even care enough about the American economy to do any of the work themselves.

It almost feels... impeachable?

How could sloppily using AI to create domestic policy, then hiding it, be consistent with the Oath of Office?
Trump’s new tariff math looks a lot like ChatGPT’s

While Jeff Bezos, who’s worth $214B, writes off the mini-yachts he buys for his mega-yachts on his taxes, while exploiting workers, 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck struggling to afford groceries.

Maybe people are just hungry and can’t afford food.

Our priority now: Implementation, implementation, implementation!

Putin will not be deterred if we read the White Paper to him.

He will be deterred if we turn the White Paper into action. We must use it to build very real drones, tanks, artillery for European defence readiness.

What can stop full autocratisation now? We know from our research that you need mobilisation across the full spectrum of the socio-political opposition + transnational support on media, civil society and governmental levels. Is there space for such a united front?

What geopolitics? 1. Trump in power gives autocrats room for suppression without reprimand, 2. Knows Europe needs Turkey more than ever for security and won't speak up, 3. Syria strengthened his hand, forced Kurds into truce, effectively dividing & paralysing domestic opposition.
