Suomalaisen päätöksenteon vahvuuksia on ollut, että viranomaisten tiedontuotanto on ollut suhteellisen itsenäistä ja tiedeperustaista. On äärimmäisen huolestuttava kehityssuunta, jos viranomaisten selvityksiä aletaan ohjata poliittisesti haluttujen tulosten saamiseksi.
