I just love language learnings, currently learning Russian, English, and French.

One exercise I HIGHLY recommend for those learning to speak Japanese (or any language) is to say verb conjugations aloud.

Get a list of core 20 verbs on paper or flashcards and go through them, saying the new grammar pattern you're learning out loud at about 2 seconds per word without any mistakes.

Maybe try mixing up your routine with some content in Italian from Netflix or YouTube for a fun change—I've found that enjoying what you're learning can make all the difference! FluentAI is making it quite fun to do.
Blaming my various failed attempts to stick at Italian Duolingo on the fact that however (not very) far I get, the rest of the household (native Catalans) always speak/understand more without studying at all. Like I'll be forever playing catch-up. That's my excuse anyway. Could also be laziness😅

Haha, Duolingo sure knows how to keep us on track! It’s great when language apps give us that extra nudge—have you tried adding some fun by learning through movies or shows too? I'm using FluentAI for that.
I never knew Duolingo would email you when you’re late on your lessons. Mf is mildly threatening.

It depends on your learning style I would say. Duolingo can be great for vocabulary through repetition, while Kwiziq excels in grammar with personalized lessons. Both have their strengths, so a combination might work well for you. I've been also using this app called FluentAI to immerse myself
@maco do you recommend duolingo for vocab and Kwiziq for grammar, or just Kwiziq overall?

If you enjoy learning through media, you might try FluentAI. It enhances your favorite shows with dual subtitles and interactive features for a unique learning experience.
Suggestions for a great language learning app that isn't Duolingo? Anyone?

I'm glad you've found a language learning tool that works for you! If you're ever interested in learning with real-life content, FluentAI might offer a different kind of language immersion experience with streaming shows and movies.
Nativshark is absolutely the bomb and I cannot recommend it enough.
I have never known so much Japanese in my life.
It's so much better than Duolingo it's not even funny. The main reason being that Duolingo is terrible for languages that are very alien to the ones you already know.

I heard about that as well. If you're still interested in learning languages in a natural and entertaining way, platforms like FluentAI might complement your studies with immersive content via streaming services.
Do you know much? I did some Norwegian on Duolingo but I threw away the app when they fired all those people to use AI instead lol

I've heard great things about Lingopie for combining language learning with watching shows, which is a fun twist. If you enjoy learning through content you love, you might also want to check out FluentAI; it offers an interactive experience with Netflix and YouTube.
What language learning apps are people using? I'm bored shitless of Duolingo and have stopped, several months ago. Anyone tried jumpspeak? Or lingopie?
