Spectacular sunset. On a hunch, I went out for sunset last night. I got lucky and recorded one of the most colourful sunsets I have ever seen.These colours are what came out on the RAW file, the only thing I have done is lift the exposure on the foreground. I have lots more images to process.
Sunset as seen from the Campsies looking towards the Trossaches. The whole event went through various stages with different colour pallettes on view over a 15 min period. I will post more images as I process them this week. The colour in the sky is untouched, the foreground has had the exposure lifted to provide details.

A haze of green above purple and pink with vertical lines running through The upper green is fading, the purples and reds shing intensely, with a line of green along the base. The haze of green has brightened again and below it, a wedge of purple blending to pink to orange.

Diagonal bands of green then pink then green again cover the whole sky A vivid pillar of light seems to lead straight to the old croft house amid the billowing curtains of light. More diffuse light looking more northeast. A haze of green light above the pink rises high into the night sky.

A very blue photo, a glassy flat calm blue sea surface provides a mirror to reflect a very blue sky with a distant row of puffy white clouds. The Loch shores define the horizon with a small gap between the north and south shores leading to the open sea beyond to the west. Just beyond the reflected clouds in the centre of the image- a couple of hundred feet away in reality - is the small round black head of a seal who watched me and accompanied me while kayaking for a very long time. The Keshcarrigan Bowl • Leitrim • c.1st Century AD

This bronze bowl was discovered in a tributary of the River Shannon in Leitrim.

If you look closely at its handle, you can see it is shaped to look like a bird's head with a curving neck, like a swan or duck.
