"DermaRite Industries voluntarily recalled antiseptic and antimicrobial soaps that it said could lead to infections on some open wounds and potentially 'life-threatening sepsis' due to contamination with a group of bacteria called burkholderia cepacia complex."
Hand soaps are now being recalled because they can cause serious infection including sepsis and death.
In “healthy” individuals with minor cuts they will likely cause localized infection, but in immune compromised people it could be fatal.
