Resilience in #Nepal is not the child of #decentralisation alone; it flourishes where #devolution takes the form of targeted, well-designed investment.

Blir Viking seedet i Conference League?

As someone trained as a trade economist, it is my duty to share the 1929-1933 Kindleberger Spiral, showing the month-month decline in global trade due to the combined factors of the (global) Great Depression and retaliatory tariffs. Smooth Hawley is implemented mid-June 1930.

Innovation is worshipped as progress, but its rewards are seldom shared equally.
High-tech #clusters thrive while others wither; green tech demands raw materials extracted at human cost.

Political trust powers economic #growth.
Research with Muringani & @fitjar.bsky.social shows that regions with strong #trust convert good governance and social cohesion into lasting prosperity.
Trust is more than a social good; it's a driver of progress.

Economic #growth is built on political trust.
Research with @JMuringani & @fitjar shows that political #trust is a key engine of #progress.
Without it, even great policies falter.
Building trust is how economies can break stagnation and makea significant economic leap.

Regional #development strategies should identify a place's unique assets & potential—not merely echo its neighbours, say Pylak, @jay-deegan.bsky.social & @tbroekel.bsky.social in @regionalstudies.bsky.social.
