Just a thought, but if the Chancellor delivered her Budget in a ‘normal’ voice rather than a strained yell then the braying MP’s might just shut the f up and listen. This is serious, serious stuff and the backbench bleating, booing, and mooing are a tradition’ that really needs to stop.

Trump v Murdoch. It’s like being an England football fan watching Germany play Argentine, you want both to lose.

Just heard the sad news that my old EMAP friend and colleague Barry McIlheney has passed away. Former CEO of the PPA, brilliant editor of Smash Hits and creator of Empire, the term ‘larger than life’ doesn’t even come close to describing him. RIP Barry, you’re a legend.

“A country of strangers” what a nasty depressing statement. Are these the same people who were “citizens of nowhere”? I’ve always took pride in being a Labour supporter, proud of my Dad 30 years a Labour councillor. This Labour Party just sounds like the fucking Tories that we kicked out last year.

Typical Tory, has no self awareness of their awful policies that drove up child poverty, the draconian and empathy lacking approach to immigration and the bull headed refusal to see the disaster that is Brexit. Thank goodness for the new Labour government …..er, hang on, need to think this through.
Went to buy a book (they don't have it so no book today) but saw this and now I'm thinking books were a mistake.

What a mess of a Spring Statement. The biggest positive and most profound impact on our economy would be rejoining the Customs Union and the Single Market. Labour won’t because they fear losing votes in red wall seats. But without a successful economy they’ll be toast anyway. So frustrating.

Just a view, but anyone who thinks there will be a ‘quick’ US/UK trade deal really doesn’t understand how trade deals work. Newspaper and TV coverage of this is just hopeless.

If Keir Starmer wanted to show just a little bit of ‘character’ he could refer Liz Truss’ lawyers to the reply given in the Pressdram v Arkell case.

Just seen that Sean Dyche has been sacked. He saved Everton’s ass the last two seasons in appalling conditions and the new owners do this. As Pete Townsend wrote: meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Hope they go down.

Absolutely right.
I've been critical of Starmer, but he's been excellent today. I hope he maintains his newly-discovered backbone, and realises he's the FUCKING PRIME MINISTER, and can afford to take on the right wing media. In fact, he can't afford not to.

Arsenal fans blithely assuming Alexander Isak is theirs for the taking is the very definition of entitled’. It’s about as likely as Newcastle taking Saka away from them. Just delusional.

Finally swallowed hard and quit X/Twitter. Deleted the app and everything. Feel, well, ‘clean’.
