Hello Bluesky! This is one of my favorite shots I’ve taken in recent years. And a visual representation of my hopes for my experience here on this site. I look forward to connecting!
Today, I saw one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. After a cloudy & sometimes rainy fjord cruise yesterday (which was still great despite the weather), we woke up this morning to the Aurlandsfjord smooth as glass, reflecting these epic low-lying clouds with perfect blue skies behind them.

“The purpose of life is to embody conscious awareness.” Eckhart Tolle

Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to see one of my favorite teachers in-person last night, thanks to tix from Mia. 🙏❤️🙏

Eckhart’s “The Power of Now” changed my life when it called itself off a bookshelf 20+ years ago.

I know there's never 1 simple answer for anything, but Lordy if it doesn't feel as simple as "these men didn't feel enough love growing up."

Nobody who has a rich, warm home life full of safety and support ends up acting the way Leon, Tromp, and their lackeys act. It's as sad as it is dangerous.

Dear America: On this President’s Day 2025, I’m asking you to do me a favor, or several actually. Regardless of who you voted for in the last election… or maybe you didn’t vote at all, please pay attention to what’s REALLY happening right now in this country. Please speak up if you think it’s wrong.

I hear the nagging question you ask inside your head a few hundred times a day: "Is it me, or has a huge portion of this country lost its mind?"

It isn't you.

It’s Finding Friday! In this week’s Finding Light ‘25 post, I explored the Power of Questions, and gave the example of the life-changing query Gene Siskel posed to Oprah Winfrey. It was one she thought and wrote about for 14 years in “O” Magazine: “What do I know for sure?”

This week’s entry in my Finding Light series is a simple, but powerful exercise in looking at the power of questions and noticing if they help us find more light. We start with one Oprah asked herself every month for 14 years: “What do I know for sure?”

Meditation can improve our well-being, strengthen our mind, and help us find more light. But can our own meditation benefit others too??? That’s the premise of loving-kindness, today’s Finding Friday bonus entry:

Finding Friday: Week 4 introduced the concept of mindfulness, which I referred to as the “gateway to Finding Light.” In the prompt, I asked you to try to notice when you’re being mindful or truly paying attention to what’s happening & then to see if being more mindful allows you to find more light.

Over the first month of my year-long journey to find more light, I’ve mentioned a few concepts that help us do that, things like mindfulness, flow, creative expression, forgiveness & ultimately love. This week, we dive-in deeper into the first of those, which I believe is the true gateway to…
