Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don’t have any kids yourself.
My financial advisor has advised that I can retire at 55 -- I now have enough money in my savings account to hire Rick Deckard to do the job.

While initially skeptical, I was ultimately glad that Maja pushed me to go walk through Lander Harbor Park as the sun was setting.

I should really do this outside thing more often!

Why did I think for even a minute that Vigilante gave the correct name for a group of manta rays? Glad I looked that up

More random posts popping up on my Bluesky feed. It's like they're actively taunting Brennan Lee Mulligan at this point. Have they no decency?

Scrolling around Bluesky, saw this post and my first thought was "Poor Brennan Lee Mulligan"

I am calling on the Canadian Government to establish a national Hawkins Cheezies strategic reserve.

(After this, Cherry Blossom, Stoned Wheat Thins and McCain pizzas all being discontinued)

Just in case any legal authorities are reviewing my Google search history, my enquiry if decaying human bodies emit methane is purely because my wife expressed skepticism about a Walking Dead spin-off plotline. I hope that clears everything up!

For Fedora's first audio foray we tip our hat to Orson Welles (born 110 years ago this week), exploring his 1955 film noir maudit, Mr Arkadin, and its origins in the radio prequel to The Third Man.

When I worked on The Office, Greg Daniels had a list of questions he asked of every story. Some were show-specific (eg “Are we saying something truthful if exaggerated about office life?”), but many are applicable to any script. Here’s a little thread on them…

"It's smash-and-grab looting of our entire shared life together as human society, enacted by a guy who needs none of it, a man who has fattened himself in time of slaughter, who eats long after he is full to bursting, who grinds other humans between his strange teeth just for the love of chewing."
I wrote about the worst people in the world, charting the depths of their depravity and vastness of their incompetence, and offered some thoughts about the opportunity presented by their failure to acknowledge reality and their refusal to access any form of human virtue.

I've sadly fallen out of reading books very much over the last decade -- only managing a few a year. So yesterday's 80 pages (30 shy of the end) was significant. I need to devote more time to reading this year.

R.I.P. Cherry Blossom.

I enjoyed them as a kid and was so-so on them as an adult, but I'm still sad they're gone. I'll miss their distinctive packaging that only changed over multiple decades to add nutritional information as regulations demanded.

I have scenes to re-shoot but I'm so cozy in my new slippers, I just want to curl up with a bowl of leftover stuffing and potatoes in front of a space heater and alternate eating and napping until 2025.

I just watched "Blue Ruin" and whoever described it as a movie about an anti-John Wick really hit the nail on the head. There's so much tension over how this guy is going to hurt himself even further while trying to exact revenge on the family that wronged him.

Two of the 12 were TV shows and not movies and I am nothing if not a pedant about such things.
