It's honestly a scary threat from the US administration to a critical piece of software and good for Python for refusing it.

There are already reports that Israel is boarding the Humanitarian flottilla bound to Gaza and it's detaining activists. If it's confirmed, it's yet another grave show of impunity by Israel and puts in question if they will be allowed to get away with it yet again.
