Tell me why no one makes *affordable* hiking pants that are made for us tall ladies??? Why is everything a 28 inch inseam? Also, why is everything low rise? I want pants that actually cover my ankles and I don't have to pull them up every 30 seconds while climbing 🥲

Hi there. I promise I'm still around. I went to Japan, and came home right in time to dive into summer classes. Fall semester just started, and I am genuinely thrilled to be back. So excited to dig into this semester 💖

Exploring the basalt fields, lava tubes, and caves was both incredibly rewarding and extremely fun. I love being outside and exploring our world. I highly recommend visiting and checking out this incredible nature preserve!

Growing up in the mountain west is interesting because sometimes you accidentally infodump and write an entire paper about wildlands firefighting from memory and it's only 1000+ words later do you realize you lost the prompt you started with and gotta backtrack. But hey, shout-out to our fire crews!

My college has student-use whiteboards everywhere and we have one dedicated to a rotating course of good vibes, absolute chaos, and silly notes. It brings joy to the learning process ✨

I love college. I really do. But I am so excited for this 8-week class to end so I have slightly less homework each week 🥲 (that being said, my professor is lovely and I will miss her)

When I made the decision to switch to my current major, it was done with the knowledge that many of the credits I earned beforehand wouldn't apply to my new program. This also created a situation in which I am operating a course load of almost 200% so my prerequisites stack appropriately before fall

Grappling with the fact that college textbooks are just SO EXPENSIVE. Some of them are automatically covered by my tuition in ebook form, but it's difficult to reconcile ebook form with low-tech professors.

In disentangling myself from Meta, it's crazy to see how often I reach for an app I've now uninstalled. One of my goals for 2025 (I don't do resolutions) is to be more mindful of where I direct my time and energy. Bluesky's Science feed has been a fantastic learning zone as a Biology Major!

This photo was taken in Nara, Japan in April 2023. It was my first time out of the country, and I was so excited to visit the shrines within the documentaries I watched growing up. I learned to stretch outside my comfort zone and carrying that forward into tackling new projects has been incredible.
