I'm starting a chandelier scheme. It's like a pyramid scheme but inverted - you all give me money, I never pay any of you back, I buy this chandelier. All good?
forgot to show you all this incredible goth glass chandelier I saw at the Berengo museum/gallery/workshop on Murano at the weekend. Fabulous for halloween; yours for half a million euros

Want a great way to replace "narcissist" in your vocabulary?

Egotist. Egocentric, selfish, self-absorbed, etc.

Can someone with a personality disorder BE problematic? Sure, but they'd be a problem without a diagnosis too, and innocent folk who share a diag don't deserve to be thrown under the bus.
It is profoundly disheartening to watch people talk about depression and trauma and neurodivergence with a great deal of empathy and then gleefully call someone they don’t like “psychotic,” “a sociopath” or “a narcissist” as a way of invalidating the social and relational worth of a person.

Just today I asked a male (!!!!!!) shop assistant in Boots about maternity pads. This level of proposed segregation by sex is truly Victorian in its morality and moral panic.
Legally, there isn't the slightest basis to the complaint, even on the most extreme possible interpretation of the Supreme Court judgement. A shop floor is not a single sex space, regardless of whether they sell bras or not. This is just hatred and spite, unleashed.
The employee asked the girl and her mother if they needed help shopping. That’s it. That’s all. The misinformation, the insinuations (because the facts are inconveniently benign) are EXACTLY what was done to lesbians in the 80s. This is the product of hate and fear, not reality.

I think it’s worth noting this piece generated the most unsubscribes I’ve seen in a while, and the newsletter version had the lowest open rate in many months. These horrors persist in part because too many people go to great pains to avoid them.

I have complicated feelings about assisted dying but this from Grayling is a wild, reckless and ugly extension well beyond the bounds of any reasonable conversation
A Dignity in Dying patron, AC Grayling, has told The Telegraph he’d already like to extend assisted dying to people who are “wheelchair bound.” Not remotely chilling. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/11...
