Can’t believe the whole country has to suffer through the return of Dickensian childhood diseases because the worst, most ignorant attention-demanders decided other people’s expertise makes them feel bad

I was sent this by a Georgian this morning. 2025 premiums vs 2026 premiums for someone making $65k a year.

Republicans in Washington did this.

This is what I'm fighting to stop. This is what’s at stake in this shutdown fight.

“This is racial gerrymandering at its worst.” Rep. Al Green told Mother Jones during the Texas House proceedings, where they passed a redistricting plan that could give the GOP five additional seats in the US House.

The Law of Political Gravity

In The Battle for Democracy, I wrote that democracy building — like physics — operates by laws.

One of the most important:
Fear-based systems work top-down.
Free societies work side by side.
Fear consolidates.
Freedom distributes.

There’s money for ICE
There’s money for concentration camps
There’s money for tax cuts for the wealthy

Yet there’s no money for healthcare, housing, food assistance, social support, or public broadcasting.

There’s no money to help the sick, homeless & starving

Suffering is a political choice

Because of DOGE, the Trump Administration is going to spend $130,000 to burn $800,000 of food that USAID intended for starving children overseas but couldn't deliver due to the massive cuts to staff and services.

DOGE isn't eliminating waste; they're literally creating it.

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

I think that every major news outlet should be reporting on the Florida concentration camp every day. If these allegations are true, then every American should be aware.
State officials have no answers to basic questions about the facility, like how lawyers or family can contact the people held inside.

At least one medical emergency has already occurred, which state officials called "fake news" despite a hospital confirming. www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...

New rule: no criticizing the way others choose to resist unless you have a better, actionable idea and kind, constructive feedback. New ideas are good! Performative contrarianism is useless.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

This era of mass grift—driven by one of the most corrupt administrations in American history—isn’t just a crisis. It’s a massive opportunity for the Democratic Party to lead an unapologetic, system-wide anti-corruption campaign.

Hey, @schumer.senate.gov :: you better not be playing cute with your language about stopping the SAVE Act. I hope you intend to VOTE NO ON CLOTURE, as opposed to what you did with the CR when you told us you'd vote no on the bill, but still voted YES on cloture. We are in no mood for games.
