Charlie Kirk was a deeply transphobic person who spent his last moments attacking trans people and downplaying mass shootings. His murder was wrong. I still won't pretend he was anything other than a piece of shit because of it.

I loathe the term identity politics. All politics is tied into demographics and identity. The fact it's good politics to appeal to working class white voters, but "identity politics" to appeal to me is just one way trans people are othered
The most I relate to any celebrity is paparazzi photos of Ben Affleck. They're all him looking so done or struggling with too large a Dunkins order. I'm like, I know Ben, I know.

One thing, I do feel allegory is powerful and important, and the X-Men are often (not always) a great example of that. Sometimes, the reader is doing the heavy lifting in this.
It's just that I also feel marginalized people need representation IN CANON and not as robots or aliens sometimes.
