@feenicks on Twitter... was too late to Bluesky and some clown took my profile name... doh
(and get fucked to fascists and fuck off to Elon especially)
I’ve said it before & I’m saying it again.
Every single time I use this Fetch TV remote I am angered by the design decision to put dark grey on black for these buttons.

I use it infrequently enough that I have to shine a torch on the remote almost every damn time I use it.

Braindead design choice

US aligned governments do not serve citizens, they serve corporations and industries and it has been thus for decades.

This includes Australia.

Had Bari Weiss just ran the story, it would have been seen by a couple million people tops. The bootleg has now gone viral, and may end up being the most-watched 60 Minutes segment ever. It might be time to rename the Streisand Effect.
BREAKING: WATCH the full 60 Minutes CECOT segment here. This was sent to me anonymously. It appears to be the segment CBS' Bari Weiss killed. www.muellershewrote.com/p/watch-the-...

I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.

In Andrew Bolt's infamous 2018 "tidal wave of immigrants column", he specifically singled out Jewish communities as 'part of the problem'

The idea that the far-right, anti-immigration parties and xenophobe media are going to protect the Aus Jewish community is absurd

I highly recommend watching this segment, not just because the CBS News execs and the White House didn’t want you to, but because these men were tortured and they deserved to have their voices heard.

Lots of people aren’t ’digital first’: elderly, many people with disabilities, CALD communities. I love using online services, but I believe policy should meet communities where they’re at, not just serve a mainly rich white demographic. Gvt payment platform should always accept all legal tender

Wait, what?
Who actually likes carrying around a pocket-full of change, just for parking?
Who actually likes pre-paying for parking when you don't know how long you'll be, when with the app you just stop it when you get back to your car and you're only charged for the time you use?

January 6 was like a much dumber version of Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch and yet a plurality of American voters were like, Yeah, let’s give that guy the nuke codes again. An absolutely world historical debacle of societal ignorance. I’ll never understand it.

1. A blockade is an act of war

2. The idea that Venezuela has stolen land from the United States is so laughably stupid on its face that even some of his base is like 🤨

An economist can correct me if I’m wrong, but as I understand it, the system as *designed* REQUIRES ~4-5% unemployment.

It then punishes those people for being unemployed, including a payment so low it actively hinders seeking employment.

Then blames them for being unemployed.

DARVO as policy.

Guardian Australia can't use @bsky.app, though 3rd party posts are still going through.

I won't put GdnAus's 2013 launch as birth date in case it nukes the account. Maybe I'll try 1821
