In a time when studios are very aware and responsive (yes, sometimes far too much) to what the fans think, I’m baffled that Leto keeps being put in high profile, franchise-potential films, given the constant negative reaction he gets and that it has yet to work out and lead to any long term role.

Are people under the impression that this has changed? I’m pretty sure no other country even comes close to the amount of foreign students as the US. American exceptionalism still exists.
I will never stop being aghast that the United States built a higher education system that was literally the envy of the entire world—our bitterest political enemies nonetheless sent their children to us to be educated, it was so good—& then just decided to systematically, ruthlessly dismantle it

As a daily driver, it's really hard to go back once you go to an EV. They're just so pleasant for putt putting around town. I traded a Cayenne Turbo for an Ioniq5 and couldn't be happier with my switch.

If the democrats wish to harness the energy of people celebrating a murder then they really miss the forest for the trees.
People need to relinquish the fantasy that Democrats can somehow harness the energy of the UHC assassination by saying “We oppose violence but corporations are bad and let’s attack the wealthy, rhetorically.” That totally misunderstands the dynamic here, which is online bloodthirst, not class war

White collar workers need to start thinking of the WFH period as a small aberration rather than a new normal. The more you aren’t present the easier your role becomes to outsource.
