Update: I am honoured to be working with some incredible artists and writers on this, it has turned into what is basically a 25 character D&D campaign with animations, custom gameplay, CGs… it’s really high effort stuff, all over collaborative storytelling. I’ve felt so creatively invigorated.
I've been so lost in the Hundred Line OC sauce I've forgotten there are canon characters briefly. The universe is fun to build in.

This is a great plot point for dystopian fiction, or sci-fi in general, it’s an idea that I use in my novel. It’s one of those things that feels like the inevitable, natural progression of people seeking out ways to immortalise themselves and others. A really sad view on grieving, too.
