She's resigning 3 days after becoming eligible for a Congressional pension starting at age 62. Her pension would start at $8,717 at age 62, and, based on actuarial data, could total more than $265,000 over her lifetime.

Small time grift when compared to the 🍊🌮 grifts, but a grift just the same.
She is walking away with A LOT of money. Honestly, how do we not know all this drama wasn’t planned so she can just have an “excuse” to get out and live her cushy millionaire (or whatever) life. I trust nothing.

Every Sen is complicit no matter how they vote. It's Schumer's usual schtick aka villain rotation. Those who officially take the bullet aren't up for reelection anytime soon. Those who don't - don't deserve support until they oust leadership.
November 10, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Everyone needs to be calling their senators today and demanding that they call for Schumer to step down as leader immediately. If you senator doesn’t call for this today bye bye.

Remember the momentum we had just 6 days ago. Good times. #cowards #schumer #callyoursenator.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.
November 10, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
November 10, 2025 at 3:37 AM
It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.
November 10, 2025 at 3:37 AM
But what do you think about current Dem leadership and are you calling for a change after this massive failure? That's power you have right now.

We should be asking this and related questions of all Senate Dems. Stay tuned for more tomorrow.
Tonight, I am voting no on a procedural vote on an appropriations deal that would re-open the government. Since July, I have been clear: to earn my vote, Republicans would have to do something to bring down the cost of health care for working and middle-class Michiganders. (1/4)

If Chuck Schumer was a stronger leader, he would have been able to convince most of these senators to hold the line.

I’m terribly disappointed in him.

We’re not going to “fix the Democrats’ brand” by doing TikToks or launching pods. The brand is a direct reflection of our elected officials. If we want to purge our weak branding, we have to purge the weak Dems. I’m looking forward to a robust primary cycle and new Democrats who know how to fight.

80% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.

Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?
November 10, 2025 at 3:31 AM
Schlubby loser Chuck Schumer bent over and begged to get violated deep and hard. We're fucked. Schumer has no balls. Republicans get everything they want in exchange for a promise to maybe have a vote later to extend ACA subsidies. CHUCK OFF!
November 10, 2025 at 3:30 AM
It's hard to believe that a cohort of Senate Democrats are willing to take an empty promise & risk millions of people losing access to health care. We need Democrats who can stand their ground and fight for what we believe in. And we need a Congress that can get serious. www.cnn.com/2025/11/09/p...
