Zur Einordnung von #JA21, die sich als Erbe Fortuijns gibt. Im deutschen Diskurs wird (soweit ich weiß) nicht klar zwischen radikaler und extremer Rechten differenziert - und ich bin mir unsicher wie viel sie austrägt. Aber die Unterscheidung zwischen populistischer und extremer Rechten ist wichtig.

Allerdings ist das die einzige bemerkenswerte Entwicklung. GLPVDA hat nicht geliefert – es an einer klaren linken Position. Frans Timmermans hat bereits Konsequenzen gezogen. Auch sonst ist im linken Parteienspektrum wenig Bewegung zu sehen. Die Niederlande wählt weiterhin traditionell eher rechts.

Kurz zur Einordnung der Wahlen in den Niederlanden: Ja, die linksliberale Partei D66 hat überraschend gut abgeschnitten, CDA erwartbar gut. Hier wurden teilweise, wenn auch weniger als erwartet, die zunehmend anti-rechtsstaatlichen Positionen der VVD in Asyl- und Migrationsfragen abgestraft.

With the official prognosis giving one additional seat to PVV and one to FvD compared to the ext poll, the narrative should really not be that the Netherlands/Jetten has beaten the radical right. The far right bloc remains remarkably stable.

I find it funny that:
1. The #Dutch state took control of #Nexperia — an intervention that, a few years ago, would have been deemed and doomed socialist.
2. #China 's reaction is that the Dutch government should refrain from politicising economic policy.

In my analysis of Caesarism, I argue that economic drivers like concentration are crucial to authoritarian dynamics.
