Israeli American sniper Daniel Raab, from Chicago, who slaughtered civilians in Gaza:

“I shot Salem dead because he tried to retrieve the body of his older brother. It’s hard for me to understand why he would do that. I mean what was so important about that corpse.”

@shelaghfogarty.bsky.social We spoke yesterday after Netanyahu’s speech. I will not 2 sides this, as there is no balance to be had. One side is clearly Goliath, and the other far weaker than David.
I wonder if history will look kindly on your well documented view. Genocide cannot be apologised for.

Netanyahu is unhinged. This speech is terrifying, and he’s broadcasting it to starving civilians in territory he fully controls and occupies.

Cruelty.

@lewisgoodall.com @lbc.co.uk If there is no Palestinian state then please define Gaza and the West Bank? What do you call an area of land filled with people who share an identity? If it is not a state, what is it? I think allowing it not to be a state allows it to be the obvious answer; prison.

@lewisgoodall.com @lbc.co.uk I am Palestinian Israeli, and British. Recognising a state means so much to me. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed the number of people who deny palestinians even exist. We have a right to exist. Acknowledge us and our humanity, and maybe they will treat us better.

Currently reading Kingmaker by Graham Brady and having already read Rory Stewart’s Politics on the Edge I am struck by 2 things:
1) Some parts of conservatism are palatable (heavy on the some).
2) David Cameron was a right prick.

Whilst Israel is bombing Iran it is continuing to bomb Gaza.

Right to defend itself my foot. Everyone has the right to defend themselves. So when do we allow people to defend themselves against Israel?
June 14, 2025 at 4:46 PM
I don’t know how to describe this but my world is shattered today. Netanyahu has created an open field and now will feel he can act with total impunity against Gaza. I am afraid this is the end, and my throat is so tight I can barely swallow.

What can I do?

@wesstreeting.bsky.social internal markets are not the solution… All that I ask is the next time a consultant talks to you about innovation and efficiency with a sprinkle of productivity you critically think about their motives and ideology prior to accepting it. *ahem Penny Dash ahem*.
The tl;dr is that businesses, especially massive ones, especially transnational corporations (or TNCs), are not run internally with competing departments.

They are centrally planned. The plans they make are on the scale of years in advance. They do not make subdivisions compete for funding.

#Gaza: Along with hundreds of others across the Strip, our colleague Alaa Abd-Elsalam Ali Okal was killed in on March 18 following the resumption of Israeli attacks.

Hundreds more were injured in this abrupt end to the ceasefire. Our thoughts are with his family.

A lot will be said about the NHS structure, functions and system processes in the coming weeks and month. As you hear and read it, keep this in mind and ask if we're making the same mistakes now? #patientsafety

Meanwhile over on the other place, rightwing free speech warriors (this guy is a former DeSantis campaign staffer) are calling for me to be denaturalized and deported because they don’t like my political speech. This is what fascism and racism looks like, folks.

This is what people
normally mean by innovation in the NHS.

Fewer cables means the whole thing is cheaper, right?

I've been trying to support some folks who have been "clinical fellows" for years, onto the appropriate SAS contract.

Honestly, at what stage did we decide to accept that the nationally negotiated contract for the work done should be optional?

This is exploitative as hell.

My recent experience with pharmacy 1st.

3 year old had an ear infection - GP streamed to pharmacy 1st.
I was asked 2 questions;
- Any discharge?
- Which ear?
Cue Otoscopy (which was done so poorly the drum could not have been visualised) and told no antibiotics as drum not perforated.

@mancunianmedic.bsky.social Hear hear!!!!!

GPs are the bedrock of a good health service and dear God please hire more of them, and uplift the contract already!!!

What is up with Labour? Is Wes going to one day just pull off a mask and underneath it was Rees Mogg the whole time?

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

Anna Dixon, Labour MP for Shipley, indavertently confirming that the government is continuing austerity. She has an economics degree, so she would know.

In a statement to HSJ on NHS finances. Reads like a Tory.

We’re not complacent over finances, NHSE insists
NHS England has accused an influential Parliamentary committee of "factual inaccuracies" after MPs criticised national NHS officials for "complacency" over financial planning.

Can’t stomach the news today. Why do so many people think it’s even okay to discuss the removal of a whole people due to their ethnicity? Why is it okay to talk about a “Jewish homeland” when they mean the removal of people who aren’t Jewish? No one is entitled to a state of only their genetic peers
January 27, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Well… This post got me called a genocidal c***. When I pointed out I am Palestinian… Instant block.

The left can be as much of the problem.
It wasn’t that simple though, was it? Firstly, you weren’t voting for Biden… You were voting for Harris.

One was clearly a better option. In hundreds of ways. So yes vote for the least worst and campaign/pressure/maybe even run! But nothing absolves the responsibility people bear for voting Trump.
