Opinions many, all very much mine!
Today is international day of women and girls in science / STEM.

I'm son of a maths graduate and husband of a doctor, and proud to know both of these inspirational women.

I occasionally see my teenage daughter hide the things she is good at to fit in.

We still have work to do.

Doing Quordle, and might be losing my ability to think.

Looking at it for ages, wishing a word for "doing something in the manner of an imp" existed, because the letters would work if imp-ly was a word.

"Imply" is indeed a word.

I will never read that word correctly again.

The older dog has just farted so loudly he startled himself.

This is coming to all of us, folks. Remember that.

It's not even midnight and we're already at "Deport Elmo."

I've had lots of new followers tonight. Guessing I'm in a new starter pack. Either that or the megalomaniac on the hellsite has done something to drive traffic off there again.

Either way, thanks for the follow, everyone. I will try to be extra witty and irreverent, just for you folks!

Saturday, and in the Fleming household that means it is pizza night.

Hope you're all having a good weekend, folks.

Indulging multiple hobbies by selling guitar pedals, and using manual focus lenses to create the images for the listing.

Product #photography, or something.

Creating advertising with AI might seem inexpensive and harmless. You have to be very careful about the "Uncanny Valley".

Human beings don't like it when something is almost human but not quite. "Close" is much worse than not close at all.

These are genuine adverts.

Nope. Won't be buying that!

Another snoot.

I live in a Reform area. Council and MPs.

We have union jacks on the lampposts, overlooking potholes so big you could drown in them when it rains.

What a truly epic time to be alive.

Watching Shaun of the Dead with my teenage son. He has never seen it before. Debating the ethics of shooting a parent in the head if they become a zombie.

"I'll just kick you in the balls"

"Yes Ben, but that probably won't solve the problem"

"I'll do it multiple times"

He is a good lad.

This is another of my favourite photos from last year. I love it.

I'm hoping the blue tits find this nesting box again, and that the colour comes back into the world. It hasn't been this green in months, and I miss it.

Pentax P30T, long end of a Tokina lens. Ultramax 400.

This is pitiful. A thousand people freezing their butts off, waiting to worship a rat. What a hype!

Groundhog Day used to mean something in this town. They used to pull the hog out and they used to eat it! You're hypocrites!

I used Google Gemini to create a poster for "Hedgehog Fortnight" and this is what it came up with.

I am sobbing laughing at the spelling.

Happy Groundhog Day, folks.

Happy Groundhog Day to all those who celebrate.

"Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties 'cause it's cooooold out there today."

Every season is the season to use intravenous anaesthesia!

Consider supporting SIVA by becoming a member, for only £25 per year.

We exist to advance the science of TIVA and processed EEG, and support those who are using or introducing these things in their practice.

Contemplating the state of the world.

When I was 17, there were no self-checkouts. It was someone's job, and they rightly got paid for it.

Now, I scan my own soup and tins of pop, and usually end up having to get help anyway because of unexpected items in the bagging area. I preferred the old way.
