COLLINS: Does it include the US having ownership of Greenland?

TRUMP: It's a long term deal. It's the ultimate long term deal

COLLINS: How long is it?

TRUMP: Infinite. There is no time limit. It's a deal that's forever.

"concept of a deal"
Trump: "We have a concept of a deal. I think it's gonna be a very good deal for the United States. Also for them. And we're gonna work together on something having to do with the arctic as a whole, but also Greenland. And it has to do with the security and other things."

He has his problems but I actually rank Jeffries much higher than Schumer. Jeffries wanted to fight last March, he’s called the GOP a pedophile protection ring, in general I think he has more potential to be corralled to where he needs to be
House Dems used to not pick fights over ICE funding. Not anymore.

Jeffries just told his caucus he’s a NO on the DHS/ICE funding bill after Republicans rejected basic accountability and guardrails.

At Davos, Prime Minister Mark Carney framed Trump’s attempts to “buy” Greenland as a part of the president's intimidation campaign:

“Great powers began using economic integration as weapons.Tariffs as leverage. Financial infrastructure as coercion. Supply chains as vulnerabilities to be exploited."
The Canadian PM’s Davos speech is unmissable in a time of “rupture”
I've been thinking about it all night.

the mainstream media has been covering donald trump as a political figure for 11 years now. they know he is full of shit. they push headlines like "trump rules out using military force to take greenland" even though they know the context of his rhetoric.

it is a deliberate misinformation tactic.

... about how outmatched ICE is on the streets. They just don't know what they're doing and too often turn to firearms when they get “frustrated." Their tactics are some combo of pee-wee wrestling and a kids “run-to-the-ball” soccer game. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/ice-101-ho...
"ICE 101" — How Trump changed ICE and CBP into a fascist secret police
ICE and CBP are fatally flawed products of the post-9/11 War on Terror — now Trump has weaponized those very flaws to occupy America.

This is an incredibly interesting and damning post about all the different ways that ICE is rampaging in the US right now — and how that led to the death of Renee Good. It is, in some ways, a perfect microcosm case study of the piece I wrote this week.... www.lawfaremedia.org/article/befo...
Before and After the Trigger Press That Killed Renee Good
Regardless of whether deadly force was legally justified, Renee Nicole Good’s death was preventable.

Let's be clear: no Trump critic ever said Trump would use violence to take Greenland. Why? Because there is no military force protecting Greenland. The means of taking Greenland everyone fears is Trump sending a large number of troops there and then simply *declaring* it "an American protectorate."
