I went to the grocery store planning to buy my first whole avocado for a wrap tomorrow and proceeded to feel them, panic, and buy some prepackaged avocado because I didn’t actually research what I’m looking for in a good avocado 🤣 next time I’ll be braver and more prepared

silly nsv, but I have been able to cross my legs today more comfortably than I have in YEARS

Having to eat my lunch an hour earlier at work today is going to throw off my whole routine! Thankfully I keep snacks handy in my desk but there’s nothing worse than having your eating schedule thrown off outside of your control when you’re trying to regulate your intake.

I spent all of January weighing in between 242-245 lbs so to be hitting and staying around 235-237 now mid February is such a nice relief. slow progress is still progress. #healthsky #weightlosssky #fitnesssky

Mixing a bit of water into your protein powder before adding it to your yogurt is a game changer to get smooth non-gritty extra protein yogurt 🔥 #foodsky #healthsky

Important update: I weighed myself this morning and I have officially lost 50lbs! I’m just over 6 months into counting calories as a new part of my lifestyle and it feels really good to hit both of these milestones at the same time! #foodsky #fitnesssky #healthsky #calories #health #weightloss

Today I weighed in at 239lbs (under 240!!) for the first time in years! It’s exciting but also a lil bittersweet because I’m traveling this weekend and likely to be out of my normal food & exercise routine which is always hard & I’ll probably see my weight bump up a bit but! Progress is not linear!

today’s non-scale victory: walked up and down the stairs at work without getting winded or my knees hurting! I don’t have to go upstairs often at my job so it’s been a while since I have. It felt awesome to get up the steps briskly, and without holding the railing! #nsv #health #fitness

Some days are motivated and energetic, some days are soul crushingly exhausting and it isn’t even 9am. No sign for much rest in the near future and the exhaustion is setting in big time.

Been working hard at trying to get good steps in at work and doing stretches for my sciatica - slowly seeing improvement but slow is better than nothing! Here’s hoping I don’t need to do physical therapy. 🤞

Traveling this coming weekend so I packed my lil snack box so I’m equipped to at least hit my protein goals & make some healthy choices. Got protein bars & powder, drink mix, and coffee concentrate to make some beloved proffees. Also packing some pistachios for a salty treat 💪

it was a busy weekend but I have a couple of weird non-scale victories: 1) I was able to keep up walking with a fast walker friend and I didn’t get winded! And 2) my veins in my hands and arms are looking slightly more prominent?? These things are small but stuff that I’m noticing and excited about!

I have to do stretches to help with my sciatica, so I created a one note folder for these (with pic and instructions) and other folders with my weight and calorie tracking and other exercise tracking. Very excited to have a place to keep all my health goals and progress tracked

Walked 2k steps outside on my break at work and it felt great after weeks of piles of snow and freezing temps. Sciatica pain was manageable while walking too, it’s just standing that feels miserable, apparently

handle change to falloutfit bc I want to talk about health and not just food here :3
January 29, 2025 at 6:47 PM
verdict is that it’s very tasty and I’m going to mix in more for lunch tomorrow! I started with a small amount to get a feel for it first but I’m excited

Hitting a plateau is the worst feeling. Been teetering around the same 5 lb fluctuation for the past few weeks despite being in a slight calorie deficit most days. Unfortunately I’m thinking I’m going to need to push my deficit a lil harder

I mixed some chocolate protein powder in with my plain vanilla yogurt for lunch tomorrow, here’s hoping it ends up tasty before my yogurt gives me the ick

meals don’t always have to be super fancy or healthy if you’re having a day and trying to just get by. soup and grilled cheese - plain ol campbells and some low cal 5 seed bread and reduced fat cheese. still warm and delicious and keeps me in my calorie goal

one thing I struggle a lot with is food texture and mood eating. so finding a new food that appeals to me and fits into my new lifestyle is AMAZING. right now, I’ve added blackberries into my rotation and I’m resisting the urge to buy bushels of them bc the ick will always hit when I buy too much

Hi! I’m Jess! This is my page for talking about my health journey. I’ve been counting calories since August 2024 and as of January, I’ve lost ~40 lbs! I still need to lose about 80-90lbs to be in my ideal weight range, but I’m working hard.
