Several people told me that going back to physical goods is the solution to getting art around paypros. It's well-meaning, but again, we can't loophole our way out of this. They're coming for everything. We have to stop running and stand and fight. Call your reps and demand protection. Call paypros.

Even individually, this is so important. I don’t want to debate if “posting is praxis”—but speaking out, even posting, matters more than we think. It reminds each other we’re not alone and helps keep us from the black hole of self-censorship that’s so much harder to escape.
One of the hallmarks of authoritarianism is to terrify people into self-censorship. ABC ending Kimmel’s show is the perfect example of this.

this is why adult creators are really emphasizing that non-creators be the ones who contact paypal. Of all the paypros, PP is the most likely to act in a retaliatory manner towards individual accounts. If you dont make adult content or youre just a commissioner, you are able to help a LOT
Whenever I've called PayPal and brought up issues with adult content they have always asked me first if I'm engaging in selling it through my account. Paypal wants to know if it can target you when you question its policies.
I like how you, as a NSFW creator, need to seek permission - but doing so obviously puts you on their radar and risks getting shit-canned just for trying to be "legit" about it

I’m happy now that AI art came. Think about it.. there are two types of people: those who use AI and those who love real art. If I sell one or two artworks a year, I’ll be broke for sure, hhh, but I’ll know that person could’ve chosen AI but didn’t, and chose me. That’s my analogy.

I try not to argue with people about current events—especially online—but it’s hard. As a rule, I only speak up if I’m calm. But watching people I care about cheer hate and chaos is frustrating and heartbreaking. Stepping back helps my mental health, but it doesn’t make it any easier to see.
