I’m starting to think that it’s important to generally push back against anthropomorphism with regards to LLMs. There’s way too much of this: “it understands”, “it likes”, “it hallucinates”, “it knows”. This is confusing/dangerous for people who don’t know how LLMs work.

A lot of good programming thought and practice in this book, even if you’re not interested in Clojure. There are a few parentheses though.

Polanyi calls this "tacit knowledge", a thing which we only understand as part of something else. When we speak, we do not focus on making sounds, we focus on our words. We understand the muscular act of speech, but would struggle to explain it.

A lot of good programming thought and practice in this book, even if you’re not interested in Clojure. There are a few parentheses though.
