Establishing the exact number of victims is one of the most harrowing aspects of writing about atrocities. Numbers alone can never tell the full story and yet it is essential that we get it right since the first step of a cover up is inevitably to minimize the violence.

It is crucial for Labour to not emulate the policies of Reform in an attempt to hold onto as much ‘power’ as possible. This is more than a matter of votes and, indeed, a matter of lives & my heart especially goes out to minoritised communities who will continue to suffer the most.

Under colonial occupation there’s no such thing as a ceasefire. The only thing that comes close to it is a temporary pause of systematic death & destruction or a relocation of this violence as we’re seeing in the West Bank. Colonial violence only ends with the end of colonialism.
