NEW: In October, the Google-tied chatbot startup CharacterAI was sued for allegedly sexually + emotionally abusing a 14-year-old user named Sewell Setzer III, resulting in his death by suicide.

Yesterday, CAI was caught hosting chatbots impersonating the deceased teen.

Google retroactively edited the YouTube video of its Super Bowl ad for Gemini to remove an AI-generated error.

Also notable: by uploading the new ad under the same URL as the original, Google seemed to flout YT's policies. But that's what owning YT gets you, I guess!
