And of course the *problem* here is that if Congress is in charge of creating regulatory bodies within the executive branch but the POTUS gets to decide whether those bodies will *do anything* or not, it can no longer be said that Congress has the power to regulate anything. Only the president does.

SpaceX just sent a letter to shareholders offering to buy more than $2.5 billion worth of shares at $421 a share. That would value the company at $800 billion and make it the most valuable private company in the world.

Story coming.

"Has ATTEMPTED to retroactively revoke." He cannot do this. You know he cannot do this. Your last sentence, however, invites readers to think he CAN do this. If the NYT indulged his abuses this way, you'd flame them. Take this post down.

I remember someone writing about all the access to accounts the DOGEkids had, I would not doubt for a second they've set up accounts to pay themselves.

Utterly ludicrous framing from @nytimes.com here, treating Pete Hegseth's arguments as if they're legitimate. The casual reader will be left with no inkling whatsoever of how unusual and corrupt an abuse of the process this truly is:

Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.
EXCLUSIVE: US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff advised Russia on how to pitch Ukraine plans to Trump, in audio files reviewed by Bloomberg

All three of the people in this frame—at a presser whose purpose is to lie to America about the largest child sex trafficking ring in American history—are *personal lawyers* of the president pretending to be public servants.

All three.

If you cannot see how terrified Trump is, well, *there it is*.

Whether you agree with everything in this lengthy report and analysis or not, I think you will agree that the perspective offered here is not one found anywhere else.

Historical, contextualized, sourced, based on years of patterns and metajournalism rather than merely reacting to a sudden surprise.
Donald Trump’s Supposed Reversal on the Epstein Files Is Not What It Appears to Be
The president has instructed members of his party in the House of Representatives and Senate to vote for the release of the Epstein Files. But that’s only where the story begins—it gets much weirder.

What do Jeffrey Clark, Harmeet Dhillon, Heather Honey and Kari Lake have in common?

While they do happen to be Trump’s favorite election deniers, they’re also the force behind the administration’s anti-voting efforts.

This sort of thing that stands out to me in the high-noise, high-uncertainty information environment because just him saying this amplifies the discord in a way that it’s not clear any action the administration takes can moderate.

PS/ It's not just that these cowards caved. It's not just that a December Senate deal won't pass the House, so ACA subsidies are gone now. It's not just that America was with the Dems. It's not just that this makes Trump seem strong. To cut this shitty deal, these schmucks *defied logic repeatedly*.
