It’s incredible really how Musk threw away a truly enviable public image. Five years ago if you had heard of him at all you probably thought of him as super rich but also successful, probably clever, innovative, maybe interesting. Now you know much more about him and think he’s a stupid dickhead.

Given the history of polling accuracy in recent US presidential elections it really is far too close to make confident predictions. We are a normal polling miss away from a decisive victory for either candidate.
