Today, it’s not your vote that determines whether the government brutalizes you or sends officers to your door. It’s your neighbors’ vote.

If you’re ok with this happening to Minnesotans, don’t get comfortable. You won’t be exempt for long.

1. Creates a crisis that hurts a lot of people
2. Frames the crisis as a good thing
3. The crisis gets really bad
4. Trump then reverses his bad decision and takes credit for ending the crisis he created
5. MAGA eats it up

Tuesday’s election results kick off a year-long fight over who best personifies the Democratic Party as it heads toward crucial midterm elections: a democratic socialist like Zohran Mamdani or a moderate like Abigail Spanberger.

Now that’s rich. All gerrymandering is anti-Democratic, in my view, and SCOTUS really blew it in Rucho by permitting it, but GOP lawsuit to block it in California while using it in other states is the height of hypocrisy.

Meiselas: California Gov. Gavin Newsom just announced he’s deploying the National Guard — to help Californians hurt by Trump’s government shutdown. While Trump uses the Guard to attack Americans, Newsom is sending them to deliver food and support families in need.

By moving to the “center,” Democrats have failed to fight the forces that led us to Donald Trump: widening inequality, economic insecurity, and the unchecked political power of corporations and the rich.

There is no more "center" anymore, despite what pundits say.
